A fifteen-inch gauge railway built in 1896 by Sir Arthur Percival Heywood to connect Eaton Hall to the GWR Chester to Shrewsbury Line. The track crossed four and a half miles of the estate and was principally used to deliver coal, timber and brick supplies to the Hall.
